Our Library of Things is similar to a normal Library but instead of media (books, films, CDs) it instead lends out other material goods.
LS6 Library of Things would provide the LS6 community with affordable access to a variety of items. From small tools for the home and garden, to lawn-mowers and sewing machines. Most of the items will hopefully be donated by local residents.
Opening hours
Opening hours are going to be 4-6pm on Friday and 1-4pm on Saturday, These may lengthen or extend in other days of the week if demand warrants it.
Location
We will be open in the Centenary room of the Headingley Methodist Church on Otley road. The room is accessible via the 2nd door down on Chapel Street. It is a lovely spacious let lit room in a great central location in Headingley.
Borrowing
Pay as you feel for borrowing of individual items. Before borrowing, an individual would need to provide us with contact details, an address and sign borrowing agreements/liability waivers. The items will have an expected/desired donation amount for borrowing the item but it is up to the borrower to pay it.
Membership
This is also pay as you feel. With different monthly membership brackets e.g. £0, £5, £10 etc. Each membership type would have complete access, but the member can decide the amount they would like to pay per month.
