Wakefield Mumbler was gifted a set of Car Shades to review. Here’s how she got on!
With the weather becoming sunnier this past week and days out in the car returning to the norm, we figured we needed to find the car window blinds again!
As a parent these are one of the essentials, but can also be a huge pain too!! With our little boy we tried quite a few different types but they all seemed to let the light through or ping off and we’d end up with the baby grimacing with the sun in their eyes! And then when baby turned into toddler, it was such a fun game to play pulling the sucker off the roller blind!
So, you may be able to tell that I’ve had a love-hate relationship with the things until I was asked to check out Car Shades!
These are top dog in the car blind world as they are custom fit to your car type so there’s no way any pesky sunlight will get through the sides of them!! Car Shades state that they cut out 72% of sunlight in the vehicle and I hope you can see this difference in the car seat photo as there was a marked difference in the car. The way they work is that they fit between the window seal and frame with little clips, so the whole window is covered, the kids can’t mess around with them and they don’t fall off!
If like me, a/c re-gassing is on your job list then these blinds are great as you can have the window down and the don’t fall off. They also make it really safe with the window down as little hands are stopped from being put out the open window and bugs can’t get in too! If you have a pet they would have a similar benefit.
We’ve been testing them out this past week in the sunny weather and I’m impressed! We’ve got a full pack with blinds for the rear windows and boot window and the kids have been kept out of the sun, they’re really good quality and they look really smart too … no Peppa Pig sun shades for us!!
They are kindly offering our Mumblers a 10% Discount code to use until 31st may “Mumbler10” at the checkout
