A few years ago we went along to our very first family festival, and I must say, we’re a little bit hooked! There are lots of great options for child-friendly festivals, whether you’re looking for something local to Leeds, or are willing to travel a little further to the festival. Glampfest, KnaresboroughThis is a great one to kick off the festival season! Nice and local, with local bands and activities throughout the day to keep your children entertained. And if you prefer, you can dip your toes in the festival spirit with a day ticket before heading home at night!
This really is the ultimate family festival (so in our opinion absolutely worth the travel); it’s HUGE with absolutely loads going on for kids… as well as some amazing headlining guests and artists. There are two locations; Camp Bestival Dorset is the biggest, but Camp Bestival Shropshire has the advantage of being next to a lake so lots of watersports activities to enjoy thrown into the mix!
DadFest is an award-winning event and the only festival in the country just for father figures and their children. All children (boys/girls/NB) of all ages welcome. All dads welcome (male carers, grandads, etc) There’s something for everyone at DadFest, including campfire cooking, archery, meet the farm animals, bat walks, star-gazing, wood-carving, kids disco, Forest School, arts & crafts, water-rockets, storytelling, good food, local beers & cider & more…
