Gateways is a small non-selective highly successful independent school for pupils aged 2-18 years situated in Harewood village, north of Leeds.
We believe in the numerous benefits that come with our size; investment into keeping class sizes small, our subject offering wide and our facilities up to date is of paramount importance.
Our Sixth Form pupils benefit hugely from small class sizes; the average A Level class size is just 5 pupils. This allows pupils to develop close relationships with their peers and teachers and to perform well academically. In 2020, 79% of all A Levels were awarded at A*/A grade. We had a 100% pass rate and all pupils secured their first or second choice University.
Pupils also have the opportunity to be involved in wider school activities and can develop their leadership qualities in a variety of ways including leading house competitions, organising music, sporting, drama, charity and general whole school events.
Our Sixth Form is currently a single-sex girl’s only environment, however since 2019 we have welcomed boys into our High School which means that our Sixth Form will also become co-educational in a number of years. Visit our website or call Admissions on 0113 288 6345 for more information or to arrange a visit.
