Join artists Alison Smith and Caroline Orrell to make ‘sculptural kaleidoscopes’ in this free intergenerational workshop, inspired by the qualities of glass seen in our exhibition A State of Matter: Modern and Contemporary Glass Sculpture.
After a short tour of the exhibition you’ll make 3D objects, adorn them with mirrors and play with shiny materials to make sculptures that reflect and distort light. We’ll then bring everyone’s creations together and turn down the lights to create a collaborative, sensory light installation!
Suitable for families with children aged 6+. This is an intergenerational workshop – we encourage creativity in all ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult for the two hours of the workshop.
