Hip Hop History Month with Hip Hop Historian Society

This year in November marks the 45th anniversary of Hip Hop culture. Leeds Hip Hop Historian Society along with many other Leeds Hip Hop community groups are proud to present a series of celebratory FREE!! events across the whole month in the city of Leeds.

Docs & Answers: Documentaries and HipHop film screenings every Sunday: 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th November. 12pm-3pm at the Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 8BH

Hip Hop Workshop: Wednesday 6th November. 12-1pm at CJCA Leeds, 48-50 Gledhow Road, Harehills

“Straight Outta Comics”: Celebrating Hip Hop through the Lens of Comic book Illustration with music by Dj Agent M and Art Demo by King Monk Studios. Thursday 7th November. 5-8pm at OK Comics, 19 Thorntons Arcade, LS1 6LQ

Tea breaks & Beats Show and tell Q&A: The life and works of some of Leeds finest Producers. Friday 15th November. 7-10pm at Mr’s Atha’s 18 central road LS1 6DE

Hip Hop History Month celebration community day: Celebrating the 45th year of positive Hip Hop culture. A very popular free, fun filled, family friendly, activity packed day with Workshops in all elements of Hip Hop Culture, as well as live acts, Q&A and Baby Block Party with BoomChikkaBoom!!!
