Family Day sees several events united to provide a day of excitement for our younger L19 guests. Expect fascinating science experiments and get hands-on and creative in our workshops, and don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Eureka! The National Children’s Museum will be looking skywards, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, and the Conductor experience will get you donning a virtual reality headset to bring a forest of trees to life. Get hands-on and make a fridge magnet or pendant with Plastic is Fantastic, dance to the sounds of the UK’s only full charanga orchestra, Charanga del Norte or take part in a bee-friendly workshop with Bloom! York. The well-known family raves of Boomchikkaboom join the lineup, whilst Music and Love Band offer high-energy songs and drumming workshops by Khula Arts get all the family in tune!
