Leeds Young Film Festival is the UK’s largest family film event where the whole family can watch, learn and play. Join us and over 12,000 other children and their families this Easter, 26 March – 5 April to explore the world of film, animation and virtual reality through screenings, exhibitions and workshops across the City.Make your screen time shared time with family favourites and brand new films at Reel Kids; learn and play with Aardman, Minecraft, Go Jetters and more at Animation Central, and visit the UK’s first family-focused virtual reality event to get your hands on some of the latest VR experiences and even create your own at the FREE VR Zone.
The festival opens with the UK Premiere of Moomins and the Winter Wonderland, with special guests joining for a Q&A and includes lots of other exciting films including some classics rarely seen on the big screen.
Families can craft and play at immersive events inspired by their favourite films of the year including Paddington 2 and Coco with Boomchikkaboom and Handmade Cinema at the newly opened Cineworld Leeds in the White Rose Centre.
