Between Saturday 28th April and Sunday 6th May 2018, Millennium Square in Leeds will be taken over by a giant cultural hub called The Village.
For a whole week, The Village will play host to an abundance of entertainment every day, including; art and music, food and drink, family fun activities and lots more. It will help to celebrate both the Tour de Yorkshire 2018 and Leeds International Festival. And on the eve of the famous cycling race there will be a spectacular show in The Village to launch it, featuring celebrities from across the world of cycling and the TDY team presentations on stage.
Saturday 28th April – Sunday 6th May 11am – 8pm (Events in the Spiegeltent will be on until 10.30pm)
Entry is free, although some activities are chargeable. Children’s activities include:

The Village has been organised by Welcome to Yorkshire, Leeds Business Improvement District (LeedsBID), and Leeds City Council.
The 2018 Tour de Yorkshire promises to be the biggest and best one yet with the men’s race (3-6 May) growing from three to four stages and the Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s Race doubling in size from one to two days (3-4 May). The UK’s leading metropolitan festival of new ideas and innovation celebrates local creativity and international culture whilst creating one of the biggest events in Leeds.
The eclectic programme boasts an array of original performances, world firsts, premieres and debates with big names from across the worlds of music, technology, moving image and fashion, popping up in venues across the city.
The Leeds International Festival Spiegeltent will be hosting events including KAOS 30th Anniversary Party presents Classical Uproar ft. Brandon Block, Live Art family-fun, a day of performances as part of Live at Leeds, House Gospel Choir.
