Goose Play – Harrogate

Goose in Harrogate has recently re-opened with a new look and is now focused on exploratory and imaginative play.

The new zones include:

  1. Active Play: The main play structure, suitable for children 4-10 years, includes a small climbing wall, large area of nets with balls to bounce on and a great spiral slide.  There is also a table football table that was very popular. For younger children (0-4 years), there is a separate play structure which has a small climbing structure, slide and swing and there are toys (wooden) and ride-ons for children to play with.
  2. Creative Play: Reading pods, big blue blocks for building, creative bench for crafting, colouring and sticking (children do this on their own now) and lots of board games.

The food remains the same high quality as previously and so nice to get a healthy, nutritious meal.  Great cakes and coffee as well!

The staff were really friendly and helpful and were always visible and supervising on the play structures.  They even played games with the children when we visited!

There is no booking system currently (this is being looked into) and as everyone gets a table to sit at so there can be queues at busy times.

The prices are higher (2 hours play: £8 for 3-10yrs, £6 for 1-3yrs, £2 for 6-11months, under 5 months and adults free) than a normal soft play but I had to drag my two out and definitely offers something different to a conventional soft play.

There is lots of car parking available. Free wi-fi available.
