Lambing events and weekends around Leeds! The mini-Mumblers love a spring trip to the farm to see all the new lambs, so with this in mind we have put together all the local places you can visit baby animals in and around Leeds over the coming weeks.

Looking for a fun-filled Easter holiday event for the whole family? Look no further than Beetle Bank Farm! With a range of exciting activities happening throughout the event, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Join the feathery fun on Wednesday 27th March and Wednesday 3rd April with Gosling Raptors, where you can get up close and personal with some beautiful owls.

For those who love rugby, Rugby Tots will be there for one day only on Thursday 28th of March, or take part in some football fun with Speed Test UK on Monday 25th March and Monday 1st April.

Unleash your artistic side with our fun range of Easter crafts, including painting your pot and planting a sunflower, making a hatching Easter chick, designing and drawing your own Easter egg, and even creating your own Easter bonnet! And for those who love animals, there’s plenty to see and do, from feeding our adorable lambs to taking a wander around the farm with some of our walkable animals.

Don’t forget to take part in our wildlife quiz, Easter word hunt, and Easter games, where you can burn off that Easter energy with egg and spoon races, sack races, and more!

Hesketh Farm at Bolton Abbey

Hesketh Farm Park is set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.  As Dales’ weather can be unpredictable they have a large cosy, undercover barn. There’s loads to do including feeding and stroking the animals, having fun in the giant sandpit or playing hide and seek  in the straw maze. They have a small cafe and they also host parties.

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is a working farm and charity just one mile from Leeds city centre with animals, gardens and woodlands to discover. A charity established in 1980, admission is just £3 for adults, 50p for children and free for under 2s. Memberships available for year-round unlimited visits.

None Go By Farm – Horsforth

A family run farm, providing an excellent farm shop.  You can take a walk around the outside animal area and feed the animals (£1 per person), they even have Alpacas!.   There is also an indoor sandpit and small play area (£2 per child) with ride-ons and Little Tikes slide etc for children.  There is lots of free parking and a special picnic area.

Swithens Farm

Here at Swithens Farm, we have a huge range of animals for you to see and interact with. Your little ones, and probably you also, will be happy as the pigs in muck as you get involved with feeding and learning about the care and husbandry on a real working farm. We have a whole host of stars for you to meet including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, emus, meerkats, rabbits and guinea pigs.

On special event days enjoy crafts, activities and demonstrations suitable for all the whole family.
