Bert’s Barrow is a small family run farm in Hillam and was started up by Marlene and Ian (Bert) Thompson with a cart at the side of the road with an honesty box, selling locally sourced seasonal vegetables in aid of the village defibrillator fund.

Birchfield farm is a picturesque working farm nestled in the valley of Nidderdale. As well as PYO strawberries they also have an amazing cafe and ice cream parlour (homemade!) and you can visit the animals on the farm. From late July they also have a ‘Maize Maze’, barrel rides, bouncy castle, sandpit and other activities.
