North Leeds and the surrounding areas are a fantastic place for bringing up children and there is plenty going on for children.
Learn how to harness the soothing, nurturing power of massage at our baby massage classes in Harrogate, Selby, Guiseley and Wetherby.
In addition to helping you and your baby relax, massage is a great way to relieve common ailments like wind, colic and constipation and helping you and your baby to sleep. Baby massage can also provide a real neurological boost to your baby, helping to promote brain development, whilst strengthening the parent/baby bond.
Over the five-week course, you’ll learn the best ways to massage your baby, including a range of strokes, when to massage, how long to massage for, and how to adapt your massage to meet the needs of your baby.
Group baby classes are open to parents of babies aged 6 weeks to 7 months (crawling) – and are held at Wetherby, and Nuffield Health in Harrogate and Guiseley. For each class, you’ll need to bring your own cushion and towel. Massage oil and a baby massage guide will be provided.

Lively and funky toddler dance, creative movement and music classes from walking to 5 year olds. Classes include a variety of props, obstacle courses, disco lights, bubbles and most of all fun!
The classes are devised to improve listening, self-control, gross and fine motor skills and confidence. With a different theme every half term the little ones are always kept on their toes with exciting new dances, songs, movement and creative props. We not only dance, we learn how to throw, kick, catch, jump, balance and play lots of games. Children are also encouraged to dance independently so don’t worry if they want to do their own thing!
Dancing Tots will give you the opportunity to meet other adults and children and also to enjoy precious time bonding with your little ones. Adults are encouraged to join in and often find the class just as enjoyable as the little ones. No need to exercise after a Dancing Tots workout !
Taster sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Class numbers are reduced so book ASAP!

With something to suit everyone, Leeds Gymnastics Club is home to a wide range of pre-school classes. Our highly qualified and experienced British Gymnastics coaches will help your little one to develop fundamental movement patterns, along with the basics of gymnastics skills and shapes. Sing and Sign Babes is a gentle 5 week music and sensory course with an emphasis on communication. Suitable from birth to 6 months. This lovely class explores eye contact, gesture, and anticipation, together with lots of cuddles, tickles and some simple signs. All building the framework for communication, brought to you using our magic ingredient – music!
The Stage 1 course introduces 6-14 month olds, and their families, to the wonders of baby signing. Over 100 signs are covered in the 10 week course, relating to daily routines (like meal times, getting changed, bedtime etc), animals, vehicles and lots more.
The Stage 2 course gives 14-30 month olds, and their families, the opportunity to enjoy more complex topics, with more physical exertion! More animals to encounter, colours to explore, and lots of weather conditions to experience over the 10 weeks! As children develop speech, having the support of a physical gesture alongside emerging words, makes it much less frustrating for everyone!
WHAT MAKES BABY BAND DIFFERENT?
LIVE MUSICIANS – Throughout your little one’s Baby Band journey we will provide them with a range of live musicians to listen to, play and sing along with, and ultimately be inspired to become one themselves.
CHANGING GENRES – Yes, babies and toddlers are the central focus to our classes but the musical skills taught are done so through regularly changing genres of music that, as adults, you will love.
REAL INSTRUMENTS ONLY – children use their fine motor skills to explore the instruments, manipulate them and take responsibility for tidying them up (a familiar routine of our classes that the children absolutely love!)
RELAXED AND WELCOMING – whatever your little people want to do goes for your 45 minute session. As your little one engages with the instruments in the way they choose to, you have time to make life-long friendships during our dedicated chatting songs.
EVENTS – Baby Band provides incredible live events, including a huge summer festival, and school holiday pop ups that the whole family can enjoy. And of course you can book your little one a Baby Band party that includes a free gift!

Award winning, multi-sensory, baby development classes for little ones aged 0-15 months. Our sessions are packed full of back to back activities, following the EYFS standards of development. This means we focus on your baby’s physical development, personal, social and emotional development, cognitive, communication and language. Fun, structured play sessions take children on a journey of sporting imagination with engaging and energetic coaches supporting them every step of the way whilst teaching how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team. Age 5 -7: Older age group classes really start to prepare children for life after Rugbytots. The same structure is followed but these sessions involve advanced team games and ensure that the basic skills of rugby are coached in the right way by maintaining small class numbers.

ChicksThatKick fun football sessions are geared towards girls aged 2-5 years.
They focus on the mastery of basic ball skills through the use of themed games and activities. Girls are introduced to dribbling, shooting, tackling, intercepting, passing, receiving, turning and other useful techniques and skills, in preparation for entry to grassroots football.

Classes are divided into two age groups, with the older children practising tackling and opposed play, but with parental participation being encouraged for the younger children.
All players receive a half-time orange and a treat at the end to enjoy with their friends!
