Our guest reviewer Charlotte and her Mini Mumbler recently went along to try the new Jigsaw Junior Soft Play in Horsforth, find out what they thought here…
When we heard a brand new soft play was opening up in Horsforth, we just had to try it out! We visited last Monday morning and were not disappointed. Emily immediately ran to the soft play area, while I gave the place a quick scan.
The space is divided well, with plenty of seating for parents in the café to sit and watch, a multi-sensory room to awaken the senses and lots to explore in the multi-level play structure from roundabouts to slides, a ball pool, trampolines and imaginative play.
At 16months old, Emily was able to enjoy all Jigsaw Juniors had to offer! She was quickly taken with the multi-sensory room, watching the lights and trying to catch the bubbles. Daddy then took her to explore the rest, where she climbed up and over obstacles, slid down slides, rotated around the roundabout, swam in the ball pool and attempted to jump on the trampoline. She also had fun in the construction area building tall towers to quickly knock over, and finished off with some good old-fashioned Law and Order!
We were too busy having fun to sample the delights of the café but the menu did look to have a wide selection of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. There are some nice little extras too, such as sockets and phone charging points at some of the tables, for those of us who are always out of battery! And most importantly, the whole place is clean, safe and very friendly.
If you want a soft play with lots to entertain, something to eat and ample seating where you can watch your children with ease, Jigsaw Juniors is for you. It’s perfect for pre-schoolers!
Entry fees are:
-Babies before 1st birthday £1.50
-Toddlers before 4th birthday £3.50
-Children 4-7 years £4.50
Walk-in Pay and Play sessions are available Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. They also offer private parties on weekdays from 4.30-6pm and Weekends at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm.
One final thing to mention is that in Mumbler’s experience the venue can get quite busy at peak times (mainly around 10-11am on Monday’s & Fridays) and if they’re too full they may have to close to new customers for a short while, until things quieten down. If you’re going in the morning we recommend going early (pre-10.00am) wherever possible.
