PJ Heroes: a SleepSmart project by York University – Participants Wanted
We are researchers at the University of York exploring how sleep helps children to learn. We are looking to recruit children between 4 and 6 years old with a range of language skills.
What will the project involve?
Your child will be asked to wear a small watch to measure their movements overnight, for seven nights. The watch is light and easy to wear. Over the course of this week a researcher will visit you three times whenever is convenient for you. During these sessions the researcher will teach your child some new words and measure their learning. The researcher will also carry out a set of short, fun assessments of cognitive ability with your child.
You will be asked to complete some questionnaires about your child’s communication skills and sleeping habits. Children will receive a gift and an Amazon voucher to thank them for taking part.
