Good Luck!
We all know that cooking delicious, healthy nutritious meals are vital for our families & to help with our children’s health & development, but we also all know that occasionally life gets in the way! Sometimes I just don’t have the time or inclination to cook from scratch, and sometimes the boring rotation of the same 8 meals just gets me down. Therefore a little bit of help is always welcome…
Potage are a nation-wide meal delivery company. Your chosen meals arrive frozen & go straight in your freezer. You then simply heat them up from frozen. The meals come in servings for 2 adults although you could easily feed 3 kids from a pot. Each dish contains the finest quality ingredients and at least 5 different vegetables.
You choose either a 6 or 12 dish delivery box and there are a new dishes added seasonally. There are currently 15 meals to choose from (including vegan & vegetarian options) along with 4 side orders & sweet treats.
Potage are on a mission to build a zero waste food business that makes deliciously healthy eating easy and enjoyable for everyone. Founded by trained chef Georgina Cummings, in 2012 after her mum broke her ankle. “During the time I looked after her I took over her kitchen, built a bad website and started selling a different recipe every day. A ready to heat homemade dish delivered with a piece of my special focaccia, and Potage was born.”
Georgina’s goal was to build a zero waste food business delivering deliciously healthy meals that were as good as (or maybe even better than!) what you’d get if your own mum was cooking and dropping it off.
Today all their dishes are lovingly handmade in small batches by their chefs just like you would at home. They use local, ethically sourced ingredients and strive to use as many seasonal ingredients as they can. Each of their dishes contain five different veg because they know how important they are for families in contributing to a good diet.
Their chicken is from Yorkshire higher welfare Red Tractor, their beef is Aberdeen Angus cross reared near the Ayrshire coast in Scotland and their pork is from pigs reared in a completely free-range environment in the South Downs. The fish they use is from ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) approved farms in Scotland and the British Coast. Their veg are LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) and Red Tractor accredited and hand- picked and hand-packed by small independent UK growers.
Potage are always working with the environment in mind. Our meals are flash frozen to naturally preserve so there is no waste. They source ingredients wherever possible from British suppliers to minimise food miles. Their packaging is 95% recyclable, reusable or compostable.
