The Summer holidays are just under a month away, so it’s time to start thinking about Thank You gifts for the Teachers, who have done such a good job over the last year looking after our little ones!
There are some great ways to show your appreciation for Teachers so we’ve put together some gift ideas available from local businesses and recommendations from fellow Mumblers. Take your pick!
Thank You gifts and cards from Chirpy
Chirpy have a great choice of gifts, perfect for saying ‘Thank You’ to the teachers and teaching assistants; from a quirky mug for them to enjoy their daily brew, a cute planter to put on their desk, to some stationery to help them with next year’s lesson planning, you’re sure to be able to find the perfect gift for any budget!
They also have a great range of cards to choose from. Or if you’re having a class collection, Chirpy also offer gift vouchers to spend in store or put towards a workshop.
For that extra special thoughtful touch, Katie at Seeds of Love creates beautiful seed packets filled with lovely little forget-me-not seeds for £2.95 each. With poems designs for teachers, teaching assistants, nursery leavers and even the lollipop lady! They really do melt hearts and will bring back warm memories of your child’s sentimental thanks year after year when the flowers come back!
Be sure to take a look at the website as Katie has some lovely teacher gifts in her ‘Thought-Full’ range too, including the ‘Thank You For Helping Me Grow’ teardrop keyring. And, If you are able to collect, Katie is more than happy to make up a hamper for containing a mini terracotta pot, personalised chocolate bar and a packet of seeds for £10.
Last date for orders is Wednesday 17th July. Please order well before this deadline to prevent disappointment!
Personalised Jam Sandwich Biscuits with The Biskery
Teachers are doing such an amazing job and some teachers are just extra special! Why not thank them with some jam sandwich biscuits; 3x Best teacher and 3x Thank You jam biscuits. Includes a Free Gift note and Free UK wide shipping
Flowers or a plant (we are spoilt for choice of local florists in North Leeds), but you might want to check if the teacher is jetting off as soon as the school bell rings, otherwise they’ll be away and won’t get to enjoy them.
Prepare a teacher “Summer Survival Thank You Bucket.” Children can have fun decorating the bucket and then fill with little treats for the teacher over the summer such as a magazine, sweets, homemade gifts etc.
Something practical like cotton/canvas tote bags – to carry all that marking home or a book by their favourite author or a reusable coffee mug.
If time is not on your side, why not club together with other parents in the class and put a couple of pounds in and use the money to buy a voucher from a local shop – maybe somewhere that does a nice afternoon tea.
Whatever you decide, I know all teachers will be grateful for whatever turns up on their desks, however large or small, bought or homemade. The most important thing is that we say THANK YOU.
Job Done! What’s Next?
Now that’s another job ticked off the to-do list, you can move onto planning an awesome summer holiday! Mumbler has that covered too, be sure to check out our Summer Holiday What’s on Page.
