The Hidden Village is a new indoor play village for all children from walking up to around 8 years old. Based in Leeds City Centre, it’s the perfect spot for a play date to remember!
Our immersive village has 9 exciting role-play areas to explore. Let your child’s imagination run wild as they tend to the animals in the vets, style hair at the salon, come to rescue on the fire engine, and lots more.
With the children fully entertained, parents can take the time to relax in our cosy side-view café. We serve tasty lunches, freshly ground coffee, delicious handmade cakes, and more. Why not treat yourself while your children play?
Alongside our Role-play Village, we have a boutique toyshop where we stock a superb selection of high-quality, eco-friendly toys and gifts – including some of the popular toys found in our play village! Be sure to take a look during your visit, or pop in any time for a browse.

Farmhouse is an all day independent restaurant located in Leeds City Centre, 20-22 Lands Lane.
Serving the best breakfast until 5pm, alongside juicy burgers, fresh salads, seafood and tasty vegan and vegetarian dishes, all complemented by handpicked wines, craft beers and cocktails. The decor makes it an ideal breakfast, brunch & lunch location or rent out for a private event on an evening.

Leeds Young Film Festival celebrates its 25th birthday with a brand new programme of award-winning family cinema, film workshops and nostalgic classics. And, LYFF Movie Club returns, now in collaboration with Screen Yorkshire! Join Movie Club for a kids-only adventure through the entire filmmaking process under the careful supervision of our experienced festival team. Leeds Young Film Festival takes place 30 March – 14 April. We can’t wait to see you!

Leeds Art Gallery reopened its doors (Autumn 2017) following the extensive refurbishment of the original Victorian roof and renovation of the Central Court. For the first time in a generation, visitors can see the stunning glass ceiling that has been transformed into a new gallery.

Located in the heart of the city, Leeds City Museum is a treasure trove of six galleries and home to the Leeds Tiger and Nesaymun, the Ancient Egyptian Mummy.
Discover the natural world in the Life on Earth gallery with centuries-old fossils, extinct animal bones and stunning specifies from around the world. The Collector’s Cabinet holds some of our more curious objects and how they came to Leeds from the 1700s to the present day. You can also explore different cultures from across the globe inside the World View gallery.
On the first floor of the Museum you will find the Leeds Story galleries, telling the history of our city from the very first archaeological finds to incredible inventions and how Leeds has been shaped throughout the years. In here you will also find our regularly changing community displays which are co-curated with different groups of people.
The Ancient Worlds gallery tells the story of ancient civilisations including Rome, Greece and Egypt. Find out the amazing ways in which people lived and worked, the stories they told through art and objects, and how their discoveries informed our view of the world today.
The Museum also has a relaxing café serving a great range of good value food and drinks to enjoy.

Families will love visiting Leeds Kirkgate Market. As well as fantastic market stalls there are lots of great places to eat, with Market Kitchen a hub of activity! Everyone can choose their own vendor and enjoy a meal together on the benches.
LeedsCity Community space is a great addition, with seating to take a rest and this great painted floor to enjoy- your little one will love running along the roads and burning off energy!
A small park and gardens in Leeds City Centre, situated on the south east corner of Merrion Street and Wade Lane, adjacent to St John’s Church. There is some adventure play equipment, more suited to children aged 5+.
A little known, and very scenic, route from Granary Wharf to Leeds Dock. Jump on board one of the yellow water taxis, for a 15 minute trip down the canal, from the train station to the Royal Armouries Museum.
