How should you choose a Santa Experience?

You’ll find that there are lots of Santa Experiences to choose from, from Santa Visits and Santa’s Grottos to full days of Christmas fun, with Santa as just a small part. So how do you choose what’s best?

  • The age of the child. For infants, dont feel you have to spend a lot on visiting Santa if they aren’t even aware who Santa is! You might consider seeing a Santa at a Garden Centre, Shopping Centre, or other more reasonable options. You can still enjoy Christmas experiences as a family, just perhaps avoid paying significantly more if you dont need to- wait for future years! Older children may prefer to have a full festive day out as a family than too much time with the big man.
  • What’s included in the experience? On the whole, Santa experiences which are more expensive include a lot more than just ‘Santa’. From Festive trails and light shows, to activities and parties. Perhaps share some ideas with your children and ask them what else they’d like to do. Does Santa need to be the same Festive visit as another activity or do you want to spread them out?
  • Who else is coming? Consider ages/ abilities of siblings and grandparents! Are trails buggy friendly? Wheelchair accessible? Will a baby be able to enjoy a Festive Afternoon Tea or Breakfast? Will Grandparents be able to wander through woodland to find a grotto. Do your research.
