This year, your Magical Journey to Santa is an exclusive family experience, where your children and accompanying adults journey along a magical pathway, escorted by one of Santa’s finest Elves. You can stop along the route to snap memorable family moments in this enchanting setting before arriving at the grotto to meet Santa and share your wishlist for Christmas. You’ll then choose your own gift from the North Pole toyshop.
In addition to the fantastic Upon a Christmas Wish Experience, Father Christmas will return to welcome families for exclusive out-of-hours access to the house, to ensure a safe environment can be provided with all the necessary precautions
in place, whilst still creating a magical experience.

Steeped in traditional Christmas magic and excitement, Lotherton is pleased to host The Christmas Experience once again for families to enjoy a festive trip out.
Enjoy the interactive 12 Days of Christmas Woodland Walk through the Captains Wood. Sing along and count the dancing ladies, calling birds and drummers drumming as you wander through. Discover the fairies in their secret hideaway Fairy Dell, listen to the giggles and whispers as you tip-toe through. Marvel in the splendour of the Edwardian House with the rooms dressed in all their festive finery. Visit Santa ‘Under the Wishing Tree’ in the Elf Village to interact with the elves and meet Santa in person (40 minutes). Pre-school children can enjoy a shorter Santa visit in his cabin on weekday lunch times. Both experiences include a gift and tickets include entry to the wider estate.

At Stockeld Park, we always like to make Santa feel at home and so as always we have prepared him a beautiful, cosy log cabin ready for his arrival all the way from Lapland! Our Santa’s Grotto is the most wonderful experience for both adults and children. With twinkling lights and Santa in a rustic wooden cabin, the whole family will feel the festive cheer here!

Seasonal fare will be available to purchase from the Refreshment Room and buffet cars, which will be bulging with mince pies and other Christmas treats. Santa will be on the train, giving out presents to well behaved children, festive music will be playing whilst entertainers & elves will ensure a jovial Christmas spirit throughout!

Take a winter walk through the Arboretum and discover Santa’s log cabin grotto. Mrs Claus will welcome you and guide you through our winter wonderland, where you will meet the donkeys, take a sneaky peek into the elves bedroom and the bustling miniature ski village. Can you spot the woodland creatures on your way?

This festive season, step aboard the steam-heated carriages of our Santa Specials & be transported to the magical North Pole. Meet Santa & his jolly helpers inside their cosy grotto filled with sacks full of presents for the good girls & boys. All Christmas services last for approximately 1hr 30m and are return trips.
The 2020 Santa Specials have been meticulously planned to allow for social distancing on the stations, platforms, trains and grotto. This means only HALF the usual number of tickets will be available this year.

Father Christmas will be tucked away in his festive village nestled near the entrance to Strid Wood. His sparkling Christmas village will come alive with crackling open fires, twinkling Christmas trees and Christmas carols softly drifting through the air. With the help of his elves, our young visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Great Man himself and receive a special Christmas treat.
Please note, Santa will not be visiting Birchfield Ice Cream Farm this year, but hopes to return to see you all for Christmas 2021!
