Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is a working farm with a wide variety of animals, gardens and woodland walks. Also visit the cafe, farm shop, and adventure play area for under 12’s. Entry costs just £2 for adults and 50p for children. Under 2s go free!
COVID Update:
Will reopen to members first on the 6th July and to reopen to the general public from the 13th July, 10am-2pm. For the time being, you will not be able to feed the animals, and our indoor areas and playground will be closed

Hope Pastures
Hope Pastures rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses, ponies and donkeys. They also provide the opportunity for people to meet the animals and learn about them and how to look after them.
You can visit every day free of charge, 10am to 3pm.
COVID Update:
Re-opened to visitors, asking visitors to observe social distancing at all times, a 2 metre space between you and any other visitors, members of staff or volunteers is necessary at this time. At bust times they may have to restrict numbers of people on site, in order to maintain social distancing effectively.
Toilet facilities will be available but in order to ensure the highest standard of hygiene, they will be keeping these locked and politely request you ask a staff member for access, so they can sanitise them for your protection between visitors.

None Go Bye Farm
A family run farm where you can take a walk around the outside animal area and feed the animals , they even have Alpacas! There is lots of free parking and a special picnic area.
It’s only £1 per adult, and 50 per child including a free bag of feed for the children.

Lotherton Wildlife World
Meet playful Humboldt penguins as they splash about in their pool. See flamingos in their habitat and say hello to the resident tapir and capybaras. You can also walk through the extensive bird gardens.
COVID Update:
Wildlife World will be open again from 29th June and admission charges to Lotherton will apply again from this date. To make sure it is as safe as possible for everyone, entry to Lotherton will be limited each day. Early booking of tickets advised https://bit.ly/lothertontickets. Members do not need to pre-book and can turn up on the day. Check the Facebook page for daily updates on ticket availability. One way system in operation around Wildlife World and hand washing stations and hand sanitiser available. Wildlife World is open 11am-5pm.
The toilets will be open 9am-5pm,The Hall and playgrounds will still be closed (for the time being)

Harewood House
Meet some of Harewood’s animal family in their farm experience. Children can meet friendly alpacas, learn about the family of pygmy goats and see the pot bellied pigs enjoy a spot of lunch! There are opportunities to talk to keepers and to cosy up to our giant rabbits too! Once you have explored the farm experience head over to the Penguin Pool and see the Humboldt penguins or take a walk through the extensive bird gardens.
Covid Update:
Harewood’s Grounds, Gardens and Bird Garden will officially reopen to the general public on Monday 6 July. (Open to members and limited general public tickets until 5th July). Slots will be released every Thursday evening for the following week until guidance around capacity and social distancing alters.
All visitors (including under 5s) will need to pre-book tickets.
The Courtyard Café will be open with a takeaway service. All the toilets in the Grounds and Gardens will be open with a queuing capacity in place. There are also additional hand washing facilities around key areas of the site, and hand sanitisation stations at regular intervals around the site. Ponderosa Zoo
Ponderosa Zoo in Heckmondwike is home to over 120 animals from lemurs to reindeers and is a really personal, friendly facility where children can get really close to the animals.
COVID Update:
Re-opened on the 29th June, tickets will need to be booked in advance to ensure the control of numbers on the site, there will be a limit of 200 people onsite at one time. There will be a one way system around the site and there will be no keeper talks or handling sessions, The coffee shop is offering a limited takeaway service. Open from 10am-4pm, toilets open.

Swithens Farm
Swithens Farm has a range of animals for you to see and interact with, including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, emus, meerkats, turtles, rabbits and guinea pigs.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park
The Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a unique walk through wildlife park located just outside Doncaster. The wildlife attraction brings families face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful – and at risk – species.

Flamingo Land Zoo
COVID Update:
The zoo is now open along with daily sea lion shows and walkthrough animal areas. Due to the ongoing restrictions, visitors are unfortunately unable to open the aquarium, reptile area or play areas. Limited refreshments available. Toilets open.

Cannon Hall Farm
COVID Update:
Cannon Hall Farm have announced that they will re-open on Saturday 4th July. Tickets will be available to their ‘supporters’ from 5pm on 29th June 2020, and from 7pm on Tuesday 30th June for everyone else.
They will be reducing capacities and will only be allowing pre-booked tickets only. Tickets will be released (via their website) in weekly blocks due to the quickly changing rules and regulations
The attraction will be open 10am – 5:30pm and you will be given an arrival time that it is vital that you stick to.

Thornton Hall Farm
The NEW Drive Thru Farm Safari will open on Saturday 4th July! You can see drive through 160 acres of land and see 100 animals, play the Drive Thru quiz and have food and drink delivered to your vehicle!
