Learn to make and replicate objects in this intergenerational casting workshop led by artist Bijan Amini-Alavijeh. Casting was a key technique for Edward Allington, who used the process to create replicas of found objects as well as original forms.
This day long workshop invites families to take a guided tour of the exhibition, then work together to create artworks using clay, plaster and alginate. Inspired by Allington’s work, we will work towards making a large assembled sculpture, formed from replicas of objects and new shapes of your own design.
Suitable for families with children aged 7 – 16yrs. Booking required.
