2018 will be Leeds Waterfront Festival’s 11th Anniversary so expect an extra special event!
As part of the Desmond Family Canoe Trail’s arrival in Leeds, Granary Wharf will be transformed into a hub of free activities for families to enjoy. Running over both days from 10am till 4pm there will be water based activities (including dragon boat race), music and entertainment, historic heritage boats and for the first time in Waterfront festival history a giant climbing wall.
Free activities include:
• 8ft climbing wall
• mini interactive workshops with Premier Martial Arts
• fishing sessions• canoe/kayak and paddle boarding delivered by the Desmond Family Canoe Trail team and White Rose Canoe Club
Music – artists including Hyde Park Brass and banjo Jen will be performing on the Saturday from our Granary Wharf stage. You can enjoy this while relaxing on our stripy deck chairs.
They have also increased the number of boats from 2pm to 4pm running from Granary Wharf to Leeds Dock (and back) throughout the weekend.
