Following a hugely successful festival last year at Roundhay Park The Magical Lantern Festival enters its second year in Yorkshire. Due to the exceptional demand for tickets, to accommodate more visitors, this year be open 5 days a week from Wednesday to Sunday each week and open every day during the Christmas holidays apart from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
This years Christmas themed Lantern Festival will illuminate Roundhay Park turning it into a spectacular fusion of dual culture, vibrant colours and artistic sculptures ! Prepare to enter a magical experience and discover life-sized and larger-than-life lanterns in all shapes and forms, from ‘Polar Bears On Ice’ to a magnificent giant ‘Chinese Temple of Heaven’ Lantern re-creation.
The festival will not only wow visitors with its beautiful hand-sculpted lanterns, the entertainment area adds another dimension to this wonderful night out with a food and drink area, bar, Santas grotto, handful of fairground rides for children and merchandise marquee where visitors can buy a souvenir of their experience to take home. The festival is open from 5pm to 10pm with last entry at 9pm.
