The Rotary Club of Roundhay, Leeds are delighted to announce the ninth annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival which takes place 3-4 April 2020 at North Leeds Cricket Club. The two day beer, food & music fundraiser has quickly become a highlight of the north Leeds social calendar.
This year we will be celebrating the event with a Yorkshire inspired drinks menu. Our beer will be sourced from Yorkshire based small independent and micro-breweries. Following the successful introduction of gin to the festival we will be featuring The Artful Pour, a new Yorkshire based artisan premium craft gin packed with the most extraordinary natural flavours and infused with the finest, vegan friendly botanicals.
No festival is complete without musical entertainment and we have a full programme of local Leeds talent on offer. To compliment the fine selection of real ale, gin & fizz we will be serving pork pies from Roundhay based Setchfield Traditional Family Butchers and home-made vegetable samosas during the festival.
On Saturday everyone is invited to the fun family afternoon. Enjoy a tipple or two whilst the kids are entertained in the dedicated play area. Your little ones will also be catered for with child friendly snack bags. In addition children will be admitted to the beer festival free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.
Four-legged friends and well behaved owners are most welcome!
Almost £50k has been raised since the first beer festival in 2012 enabling Roundhay Rotary to support charity projects in the local community and further afield. These include backing of local schools for students to participate in Rotary sponsored: Young Chef, Young Writer, Leadership award, Youth Sailor, Technology Tournament.
Other projects benefiting have been Gipton Together & John Jameson Special School with a day out to Lightwater Valley. The club have also sponsored CATCH in Harehills which provides a safe environment for children and meals for youngsters during school holidays.
The cricket club open their doors at 5pm on Friday and from 12noon on Saturday. £10 gains you entry to the festival on the door. If you book your tickets in advance an online via the website you are entitled to a £2 discount – members of CAMRA or SPBW will get a £2 discount regardless. The ticket price entitles you to a special festival pack which includes a commemorative beer glass, programme and beer tokens, with extra tokens available for £1.50.
