Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice Family Starlight Hike

October 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Saturday 19th October sees the return of the fantastic family event, the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice Starlight Hike. Enjoy a night under the stars and take on either a 5km or 10km sponsored walk around Headingley and Adel, while raising funds for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.

The walk starts at 7pm and with a lively warm up, plus lots of fun activities to get involved in, it’s sure to be a night you won’t forget. Both routes will pass through Wheatfields Hospice where you can visit our Starlight Garden and dedicate a message to loved ones.

Denise Adamson took part in the Starlight Hike last year and said

“I would recommend that everybody gives the Starlight Hike a try. It was such a friendly atmosphere and was a fun way for us to show our thanks to Wheatfields. With the help of all our family, friends and work colleagues we raised £1,374.”

Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice Michelle Darbyshire said:

“It promises to be a very special event and every penny raised really does help to support the expert and compassionate palliative care we provide here at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.”

Whether you’re walking in memory of a loved one or simply taking on the challenge, be part of our Starlight Hike and help to raise money for your local hospice, Wheatfields.

Although we don’t stipulate a minimum amount of sponsorship to be raised, this is a charity event to raise funds for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice so we do encourage people to raise at least £140, which could pay for a hospice nurse for a day, and we hope that everyone will raise as much as they can.

You’ll be able to set up an online fundraising page after you’ve completed the registration form. We can also help with providing paper sponsor forms, collection tins and any other fundraising items.

Tickets are priced at £15 per adult, £5 per child and under 5’s go free.
