The wonderful environment at Highfield Pre-School enables children to explore, imagine and learn. Rated ‘Excellent in All Areas’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in their last inspection report, the pre-school occupies a large Victorian family house on the Harrogate Ladies’ College campus.
Located in the Duchy area of Harrogate, Highfield Pre-School’s large outdoor space and private gardens provide lots of opportunities for children to learn outside the classroom and explore their environment.
A focus on child development and the Early Years Curriculum mean children are equipped with academic and social skills in preparation for ‘big school’. The superb facilities offer a stimulating environment and weekly timetabled activities include Swimming, French, Music, PE, Outdoor Learning and baking led by qualified teachers. As children move through the pre-school they spend an increasing amount of time in Highfield Prep School visiting the Reception classrooms. This integrated approach enables children to settle quickly into life at ‘big school’ and helps them to continue to flourish.
Dedicated before and after school care (7.30am – 6pm) and the EYFS Holiday Club help families to juggle busy lives and the unique home from home atmosphere makes it the perfect stepping stone from home to school.
