We don’t think it’s unique of our daughters to bring home all sorts when we’re out for a walk, from pine cones to sticks and fallen leaves, we might as well do something with all their treasures!
Autumn globe
All you need is an empty and transparent pot with a lid, a twig that fits inside, fallen leaves cut into pieces and water. Simple! Now enjoy looking at the leaves floating up and down.
Conker monkeys
Believe it or not, conkers are very easy to pierce a hole through! All you need is to push hard enough with a small screwdriver in order to insert the pipe cleaners to make these cute cheeky monkeys!
Leaf necklace
Punch a hole in the prettiest leaves you can find and insert a string to make a necklace. We made ours with different kinds of leaves but you could use the same and it would look beautiful too.
Pinecone mobile
We painted a few pine cones and then hung them to a stick to make this mobile. If you don’t have any paint, leave them the way they are for a more rustic appearance.
Leaf bonfire
With bonfire night fast approaching, you can get into the mood by making your very own nature bonfire with sticks and bright coloured leaves to imitate fire!
These five activities are all very easy to do with kids of all ages. They offer simple, excellent entertainment plus a great excuse to get outside to gather your nature supplies.
We hope you enjoy!
