This year Halloween will be a little different for everyone. That doesn’t mean it won’t be fun and we have lots of ideas for nature-inspired Halloween activities you can do at home.
We hope you like our favourite five, which by the way, are all so simple that you won’t need to buy almost anything to make them!
Gather some sticks, pebbles and if you have one, a white rose petal, to create a skeleton. If you don’t have a petal, maybe you can use a piece of white paper or make it a challenge and find a skull shaped pebble!
Find a stick that seems to have arms, give it some eyes and wrap it in white string and it’s Halloween-ready!
Pick any green leaf and use a black marker to create a Frankenstein’s monster. We added a stick to make them easier to hold too.
Make a cardboard bat and then glue some twigs to it. Add some eyes and fangs and it’s ready. Ours is hanging from the kitchen door!
Cut a circle into some clear plastic, slightly larger than the opening of a paper roll. Draw on a flying witch using a black marker and stick on fern leaves. Attach the plastic to the opening of the paper roll and shine a torch down the roll in the dark. The witch is flying across the moon!
These five activities are all very easy to do with kids of all ages. They offer simple, excellent entertainment plus a great excuse to get outside to gather your nature supplies.
