We’re spoilt for choice for Food and Drink Festivals in and around Leeds in 2019!
They are a great way to spend family time, with entertainment for the kids and lots of food and drink from local producers for the adults to try!
Date: 4-6th May 2019
Details: The Lotherton Hall Food & Drink Festival is a fun way to spend a weekend with family and enjoy great food and drink. With a wide range of food and drink from local traders, as well as dishes inspired from around the world, providing the chance to browse, sample and enjoy! With a range of entertainment for the whole family, including an acoustic stage where local artists will perform throughout the weekend.
Activities for Children: There will be plenty of children’s entertainment, including free magic shows, circus workshops, bushcraft activities, party games, crafts and much more! Plus, the festival will have it’s very own fun fair with classic rides including dodgems, teacups and a giant bouncy castle.

Activities for Children: North Leeds favourite School Diner returns to Chapel Allerton Primary School on the 17th-19th May as part of the Leeds Indie Food Festival. There will be street food (including the pizza bus), entertainment and fun for all the family – plus, it’s dog-friendly!
Date: 25th – 27th May 2019
Details: The Great British Food Festival attracts lots of producers showcasing the best in local, seasonal and speciality food and drink.
The main chef demo area hosts great local and tv chefs, including demos in baking, drinks tasters and tips to grow your own food! All demos are free (as part of your admission ticket) to enter so everyone can pick up top tips. There are also regular Artisan Foodie talks and the popular Great British Cake off and Men V’s Food challenges!
Activities for Children: There is plenty for kids to do including a free circus skills workshop, treasure hunts, giant bubble making, food Olympics and Mini Zoo. Children can also take part in cooking workshops throughout the day (booking required in advance; suitable for all ages).

Date: 22nd – 23rd June 2019
Details: The North Leeds Food Festival is returning to Roundhay Park with more mouth-watering street food, fine artisan produce, superb live music & live entertainment. And new for 2019 they have a full Chef’s Demo stage, showcasing the region’s top chefs.
Activities for Children: Children can watch the Magic Matt show, take part in the free quiz and fact-hunt around the site, enjoy the Traditional Fun Fair and Inflatable Land as well as much more still to be confirmed.

Details: Enjoy a fantastic selection of hot street food traders, the best local producers around with local jams, chutneys, cheeses as well as gins and speciality bars. Full programme of entertainment throughout the weekend including live music on stage.
Activities for Children: Children can enjoy a ride on a miniature fire engine, FREE circus skills workshops, bushcraft activities, ‘The Beach’ as well as a fun fair including rides on offer for all ages, and a giant bouncy castle. Wetherby Lions will be hosting the annual Wetherby Duck Race on Sunday 14th July in conjunction with the Food Festival.

Details: With a fantastic selection of hot street food traders serving food inspired from all over the world, some of the best local producers around & speciality bars the festival is a great place to socialise and spend quality time with friends and family. Details: This festival is jam-packed with things to do including local chef and craft demonstrations, a selection of hands-on workshops, a vintage funfair, kid’s activities, tasting sessions, live music, hundreds of exhibitors and the best street food and drink the UK has to offer!
Activities for Children: This festival is packed full of lots of FREE activities for the kids to do!
They can take part in messy play, colouring in and sand art in the Kids Tent, plus look at and have their photos taken with the lovely Owls in the Birds of Prey area. Face painting, Mr Dan’s fun-filled Circus Skill Sessions plus, a petting farm, where they can visit our festival farm animals, or let them sit back and enjoy a good old-fashioned Punch & Judy Show. More activities being added weekly!
We know that kids love dancing too, so don’t forget to stop by the Entertainment Tent and dance the afternoon away!
