Ashville College is throwing open its doors to prospective pupils and parents from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday 12 November, for a dedicated Year 7 Taster Day.
This is a great opportunity for current Year 6s to sample Ashville Senior School, by participating in activities, meeting current Ashville pupils and gaining a real insight into Ashville school life.
Hopefully there will be something here to tempt the Year 6 living in your household, and we will do our best to allocate pupils to participate in their preferred sessions! Afterwards, they will enjoy a delicious lunch provided by our Catering team.
Parents are also encouraged to stay after drop-off for an opportunity to learn more about Ashville and hear from our Head of Lower School, Miss Jane Ellis, who has responsibility for the pastoral care of pupils in both Years 7 and 8.
She says: “Every pupil that starts their Senior School journey in Year 7 is a jigsaw piece. Each has their own shape, edges and distinguishing features, which over the course of the year, transforms into a piece of the larger puzzle, being encouraged to continue forging their own identity, but also developing a community identity as a young Ashvillian.”
Insights like this and a long career at Ashville spent guiding hundreds of pupils, make meeting Miss Ellis an unmissable opportunity for prospective parents. She looks forward to welcoming you on the day.
