Leeds Tallest Abseil, hosted by St Gemma’s Hospice
Date: 28th March 2020
Venue: City Centre
Details: Abseil from the CLV building in Arena Village in Leeds city centre, formerly known as the Opal Tower, which is a whopping 300 feet high – the third highest building in all of Leeds and one of the tallest buildings in the North of England!
Fancy dress is optional, but this is a fantastic opportunity to be as creative as you like and join in the fun.

Beckett Colour Blast
Date: 29th March 2020
Venue: Leeds Beckett University Headingley Campus
Details: A colourful 2.5km or 5km run, joining hundreds of participants around the beautiful Headingley campus. Get fit, get showered in coloured powder, make memories and have fun!
2.5k run for all the family at 10:30am and 5k run at 12:30pm.

Swim the Channel, hosted by St Gemma’s Hospice
Date: 1st April – 24th June 2020
Venue: Local swimming pool
Details: Complete the 21 miles across the Channel by swimming the distance in your local pool in 12 weeks or less. It’s free to register so if you’re an experienced swimmer or are looking to improve, this is a great way to work towards a goal whilst supporting a fantastic cause.

Gung-Ho! Leeds
Date: 11th April 2020
Venue: Harewood House
Details: 5km run over Giant Inflatables. From huge slides to enormous spiky balls, there’s plenty of challenges to be found on the Gung-Ho! 5k course. Every obstacle is designed for the maximum amount of fun, with no mud, paint or water to worry about.
There is no minimum age requirement but participants must be at least 122 centimetres in height to tackle these monstrous obstacles. Children under 11 must be accompanied through the course by a participating adult.

Colour-Baloo, hosted by St Gemma’s Hospice
Date: 2nd May 2020
Venue: Stockeld Park, Wetherby
Details: Brand new for 2020, bringing the biggest, best and craziest 5k fun run to Leeds. Colour-Baloo will be a fun run like no other with bubble stations, inflatable obstacles and colour stations placed all around the route. You’ll be jumping, crawling, climbing and sliding your way round all while being covered in a brightly coloured bubbles!

Dragon Boat Race, hosted by Martin House
Date: 17th May 2020
Venue: Roundhay Park
Details: Now in its thirteenth year, the Dragon Boat Race is a unique corporate or group team-building event and family fun day that helps to support hundreds of children and young people across the region.
You must be at least 16 years old. 16 and 17 year olds will need written permission from a parent/guardian. You must also be able to swim 50 metres.

Cookridge Community Run
Date: 17th May 2020, 9am
Venue: Cookridge Village Scout Hall
Details: The Fun Run is open to everyone aged over four years, with no upper limit. There will be an organised warm up session prior to the Fun & Trail races. An out and back course starting and finishing at the Cookridge Village Scout Hall on Pinfold Lane. This run (but not the 10K trail race) is suitable for wheelchairs and parents pushing buggies.
Great Yorkshire Bike Ride
Date: 13th June 2020
Venue: Wetherby to Filey
Details: The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride is an annual 70 mile sponsored family friendly charity cycle ride from Wetherby to Filey. It takes in some of Yorkshire’s best countryside through the Howardian Hills and the Wolds to the coast.

Junior and Total Warrior
Date: 26th-28th June 2020
Venue: Bramham Park
Details: After a whopping 4,500 Junior Warriors completed the 2019 event, Junior Warrior returns in 2020 for another amazing 3K course, packed with 12 obstacles to challenge the whole family. Total Warrior ’The Original’ is now going into its 10th year and is still the biggest and most popular event of the year.
Junior Warrior is aimed at 6-13 years. Junior Warriors aged 6 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
Take part for various Leeds charities, we would recommend you check with your chosen charity if they are participating in the event.
One Fun Run – Leeds 2020
Date: 21st June 2020
Venue: Roundhay Park
Details: Take on our thrilling family-friendly 2.5km inflatable obstacle course all while raising money to support type 1 diabetes research. It will be lots of fun for both children and adults, so get your team together and join hundreds of others for a memorable day out!
Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult (over 18). There must be at least one adult for every five children under eight.

Venue: Start Pudsey Leisure Centre
Details: The race day includes the Kids Park Run, the Family Fun Run and the main event the Pudsey Legal 10K. Also includes “Tees for Trees” campaign.

Venue: Leeds & Liverpool Canal
Details: Join Leeds Cares for a fantastic day raising money by walking (or running!) along the idyllic Leeds & Liverpool Canal. There are three routes to choose from so, whether you fancy a fun family stroll, a jog or a challenging day’s trek, there’s something for everyone.
