Christmas is coming and yet again I’m uninspired by the mass of plastic toys that are being marketed to my child in ad breaks on TV!
Surely there’s something I can get my children for Christmas, that teaches them something valuable while also being a fun and exciting experience. Something that they’ll potentially be able to get value from for the rest of their lives, rather than throwing away in 6 months.
My eldest loves music and dancing and is really interested in learning how to put records on at home, so DJ lessons are top of the list this year.
DJ School UK, based in Leeds, are offering some great savings on private DJ or Music Production tuition bundles – an excellent alternative Christmas present for the budding young Superstar DJs among us!
Private tuition sessions are the perfect, tailor-made approach to learning new DJ skills. If you’re looking for focussed, one-to-one DJ training with an experienced tutor, this is the best option.
If your child is new to DJing they can be taught all the basics in a few sessions.
If they have some knowledge already, training can be focussed on the area of DJing they want to concentrate on. You can even bring DJ equipment from home if you already have some.
Or, the sociable and friendly weekly DJ Clubs are another great option for young people aged 9-17.
As well as raising self-esteem and teaching life skills, giving students evidence of the time they commit and the skills they have gained is written into the mission statements at DJ School UK. The Unit Award Scheme offers learners the opportunity to have their achievements formally recognised with a certificate issued by AQA each time a short unit is completed. Having developed their own DJ-specific UAS units, all students follow a process that entitles them to these certificates as they progress.
All sessions are provided by one of the fully-trained, DBS-checked tutors, at the studio in Leeds.
And best of all, by buying tuition for your child, you could be helping to provide subsidised places in the DJ Clubs for young people facing challenging life circumstances.
