A North Pole Breakfast traditionally marks the start of your Christmas Festivities; this could be 1st December (to coincide with the first door of an advent calendar and/or a visit from Elf on the Shelf) or your first Christmas weekend when you decide to put up a tree, decorate the house and make a real weekend of it! If the kids are off for the Christmas Holidays, perhaps build it into your Christmas Countdown in the days before Christmas. Another option (if the thought of MORE food doesn’t overface you) is to have it on Christmas Eve or even Christmas day.
Ooooooh YES, get out the tack!! Get out those Santa plates and Christmas cups- bring out that Christmas tablecloth. Use as much red, white and green out as you can. Inflatable snowman at the doorway? Why not? Crackers on the table? Of COURSE! Sprinkle with candy canes and gold coins. It’s nearly Christmas after all!
Make sure you get a Christmas playlist on for background music too!
Psssst- Are your children Frozen fans? Give your table an icy twist with blue and Frozen themed table decorations- lots available for birthday parties!
A Sugar Feast
For anyone who loves ‘Elf’ as much as we do in our family, you’ll know that elves at the North Pole LOVE sugar. Think hot chocolates with marshmallows, pancakes with syrup and chocolate treats. Here are some ideas of what to put on your North Pole Breakfast table. Why not provide toppings yourself and get your children to make their own designs?
Festive Fruit
For a healthier alternative, use chopped up fruit to design Christmas Trees, sugar canes or make a standard breakfast into something a little more interesting!

Create a Festive Masterpiece
Take some inspiration from our very own Wakefield Mumbler who clearly has hidden talents with this rather creative table centerpiece! Cut a pineapple into a triangle shape and then add the other fruit with cocktail sticks. AMAZING!!
Christmas Activities
Now you’re in the Christmas mood why not make the rest of the day (or at least the morning) full of Christmassy fun too? Write those letters to santa, do some Christmas crafts and start decorating your home. And what better way to enjoy a Christmas Party with some fantastic Christmas Party Games!
Or why not do one of the most festive activities there is- create your very own gingerbread house?
