We really hope you can join us at the Mumbler 1st Birthday Bonanza Family Fun Day at Goals Leeds on Sunday 1st July, 12pm – 4pm. We can’t believe we have been going a year now and we thought what better way to celebrate than with a fun day and showcase some of the amazing children’s activities, classes and party providers Leeds and Wharfedale have to offer.
Entry is completely FREE as are most of the activities and entertainment thanks to our co-host Goals Leeds (Goals can be hired out for any event or celebration, including kids parties*) and sponsors, Avery Walters Solicitors, Moores Estate Agents and Simon Benn Children’s Happiness Coach.
Activities on the day will be suitable for children of all ages from babies and toddlers to school age children up to approx 12 years.
There will be 4 activity zones at the fun day (please note children must be supervised by an adult at all times during the day).
1. Bouncy Castle and Soft Play Area
There will be three bouncy castles with one specifically for toddlers. On entry to the fun day, you will be able to buy a wristband for all day bouncing which will cost £3.50 per child.
We will also have a free soft play area for babies and toddlers (under 5s ) courtesy of Shuffles Entertainment.
2. Baby and Toddler Activity Taster Sessions
In the conservatory area, there will be free taster sessions from local baby and toddler class providers. These sessions are a great way to try out a new class or activity before the new term in September. No pre-booking is required for these, just turn up at the conservatory ten minutes before the session starts. (*If the maximum number is met for these sessions entrance will be on a first come, first served basis)
3. Pre School and School Age Activity Taster Sessions
Free taster sessions for older children will take place on the pro-turf pitches at the times detailed below. The majority of these sessions are drop-in and will be running throughout the afternoon but certain ones will take place at specific times so make sure you check the details below.
*Don’t forget your sling for the Sling Swing taster!
4. Entertainment and Stalls
As well as the above taster sessions we have lots of great entertainment for the kids including:
There will be stalls with activities for children from: Mini First Aid Leeds, Rhythm Time Leeds, Baby Swimmers, Rosie’s Readers – Usborne Books in Leeds, Popolo Ceramico, Baby Sensory North Leeds, Moo Music North Leeds, Toddler Sense North Leeds, Tiny Toes ballet North Leeds and Lower Wharfedale, The Little Gym Leeds, Rugbytots Leeds, Ilkley, and Otley , Saddler Tennis Coaching, Dance Action Zone Leeds – DAZL, Technology in Play – Yorks, Sling Swing & Beanie Boppers East Leeds Area, Music Inspirations, St Chads Cricket and Simon Benn The Happiness Coach. (*Some activities may have a small charge).
On top of all of this, there will be some lovely goody bags for 150 families during the day.
We are pleased to be supporting the great local charity Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids during the fun day. Through their work Cash for Kids support local disabled and disadvantaged children. The Cash for Kids team will have their own stall at the event (including a toy tombola!) and donations can be made at various locations on the day.
Goals will be providing a BBQ running throughout the day which will include vegetarian and gluten-free options. Hot and cold drinks and ice creams will also be available to be purchased.
* Please note, only food purchased from Goals is to be consumed on the premises
Goals is situated on Redcote Lane (just off Kirkstall Road, LS4 2AW), there is parking at the venue but if you can we would recommend you get the bus or park nearby and walk down the lane to ease the traffic flow. Goals is a fully accessible site with disabled parking.
There will be baby changing and feeding facilities available. Limited high chairs available.
Please feel free to bring a picnic blanket with you as there will be a “chill” area available on one of the pitches.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the grounds at all with the exception of guide dogs.
Children must be supervised by their parents at ALL times – North Leeds, West Leeds, Wharfedale Mumbler and Goals Leeds accepts no liability for the children on the day.
