Half Term is here!! We have been to check out the ‘Jurassic Week’ adventure at the fabulous Stockeld Park and it was ROAR-SOME ( first & last dinosaur pun…. I promise)
My 3 Mini Mumblers are 7, 5 & 18 months and I was a little concerned about there being things for the youngest to do – but there was tonnes to keep her entertained!
The Forest walk with its various play areas along the route is where the Dinosaurs are mostly hiding in the trees. They were quite realistic looking and each had a bit of info that the kids could read about on the way round.
There was also a Raptor (who was called ‘Blue’ from the Jurassic World film) who appeared near the Lakeside Cafe every hour with a ranger to have pictures taken with the kids. This got busier as the day went on, so I would advise going there first if you have a dino-enthusiast!
There was an area where you could dig for fossils/dinosaur bones that were buried in several sand pits and this was very popular with all 3 of my kids, which gave my husband and I an unexpected few minutes sitting in the sun (bonus!)
All the usual fantastic activities Stockeld has to offer are also up and running over Half Term including the boats, (extra charge applies), pedal go-karts, giant inflatable slides, roller skating and several different play areas with something for all ages.
We (all) had a brilliant time and will definitely be going back to Stockeld for the next seasonal adventure!!
*Disclaimer*….Although we were invited to visit Stockeld free of charge on this occasion there is no amount of ‘roar-some’ dino fun that could make us give a dishonest review.
Open daily from the 25th May – 2nd June 2019, 10am – 6pm.
