OTRA (Oakwood Traders and Residents Association) have organised the 2019 Oakwood Christmas Light Switch on event on 9th November at 12pm – 8.30pm. There will be live music and performances to rock around the clock from local musicians,schools and groups plus local artisan craft stalls, local charity groups and street food stalls.
Oakwood is set to rock to musical talent performed by local Roundhay Primary, Roundhay St Johns Primary, Kerr Mackie and Footloose Dance. There will be performances from Stagecoach and the super due Pedro and Alana as well as local band KAJE.
There will be activities running for children including an arts and craft workshop by ARTventurers North Leeds, Punch and Judy plus the incredible chicks on sticks as the snow queen.
Delicious street food will be served around the Clock including Pizza Loco’s handmade pizza, Rita’s Indian kitchen and carribean delights. The Bar stewards will be serving local beers and ciders as well as other alcoholic beverages and the two naughty elves will be on hand with mulled wine!
Fantastic local artisans will be showcasing their crafts with stalls from the Oakwood Craft Market such as Roundhay artists Jo Dunn and natural skincare company Organically You.
Oakwood Christmas Light Switch on will run from 12pm until 8.30pm on 9th November and is open to all to come and enjoy the Oakwood and Roundhay community.
