Cash for Kids want to help get funding to more schools across West Yorkshire. Up to 20 schools based in West Yorkshire will be chosen from those that apply and given from Monday 25th February to Friday 22nd March to fundraise as much money as possible for their school. The school that raises the most will be awarded a prize of £5,000 on top of what they have raised for their school. Runner up prizes of £2,000 will be awarded to the schools that finish in second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth place, who will also receive back every penny they raised on top!
All other participating schools will still receive a grant back for every penny they have raised – meaning every school that takes part will receive a grant.
Every chosen school will be given their own online fundraising page, plus fundraising tuition and briefing ideas for each key stage to raise the most money so they won’t be alone. Cash for Kids want to teach the pupils skills in fundraising, sustainability and community values whilst supporting their own education.
All applications will be judged on how they aim to make a difference to disadvantaged children under 18 in their community. Priority will be given to schools in underprivileged areas and with poor Ofsted scores. Grants will be awarded to the participating schools upon receipt of a completed application at the end of the challenge.
